ADULT MINISTRIES
From Sunday School classes to small groups to monthly lunches and activities, there are so many different ways for adults of all ages to be involved in life at Mulberry Street! We aim to develop and nurture relationships with each other as we grow in our faith and serve the world around us.
Whether you’re looking for spiritual formation, meaningful fellowship, or opportunities to serve, there’s a place for you here. Our adult ministries include Bible studies, book clubs, seasonal discipleship series, mission projects, and special gatherings that foster connection and encourage spiritual growth. We believe that faith is formed in community, and we offer spaces where you can grow closer to God and others. No matter your age or stage in life you’ll find friends for the journey here at Mulberry Street.
Sunday School classes meet at 10 am on Sunday mornings in various classrooms in the Mulberry Education Building. You are invited to join any of them, or reach out to class leaders for more information. Be on the lookout for special classes during Advent, Lent and other seasons!
The Daughtery Class meets on the 2nd floor of the Education Building, in the classroom to the right of the elevator & staircase. Our class consists of members of all ages.
This 5-week class runs from June 7 through July 5. Together we'll walk through the Psalms as we explore everything from joyful worship to sorrowful lament and see how we can model in our modern lives how the psalmists cried out to God for mercy and justice and in confession of their own sins even while they praised God and responded with thankfulness. This class will meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM in the Mustard Seed room (2nd floor) at the church. No book to purchase; bring your Bible or we'll have some to share as well.
Is the world feeling a little upside down? Maybe that’s exactly where life in the Kingdom of God begins. Join us in July and August for a transformative 5-week journey: "The Sermon on the Mount: Kingdom Living 101." We’re diving deep into Jesus’ most famous teaching to discover how resurrection life isn't just a future promise; it’s a daily practice. From the radical joy of the Beatitudes to what it actually means to be "Salt and Light" right here in downtown Macon, this study is about moving faith from our heads to our hearts and hands.
The Young Adults class meetings in the Blue Room on the 2nd floor of the Education Building (in the Family Ministries wing). Our class consists of young adults and parents of school-age children.

Small groups play an essential role in Christian formation as a place for prayer, study, fellowship, and deep relationship. If you are looking to deepen your relationship with Christ and with others, we encourage you to join in on a group listed here!
Are you looking to dive deeper into your Bible study and connect with others outside of worship? Join our book club! It's the perfect opportunity to explore God's message for you with the support and wisdom of various authors. Discover how their insights can be applied to your own life and learn from other members as well. We meet monthly in homes to discuss that month's selection.
June Meeting: Wednesday, June 24
6 pm at the Magda house
June Selection: Dear Judas by James Finke
All women are invited to join us as we attempt to turn faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth around the world. The UWF meet at noon once at month in Mulberry’s conference room for a teacher-led study. The UWF are also strong supporters of local and distant mission projects in our United Methodost Connection, hosting annual fundraisers like their annual bake sale to support projects.
The YAMs (Young Adults at Mulberry) is a small group for young professionals that meets weekly on Tuesday nights at Payton & Mallory Stone's house. We bring our dinners and share a dessert, and activities include book & bible studies, and occasionally trivia nights and other fun activities!
The Lamback Lunch Group is a welcoming gathering of adults who meet every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for prayer, discussion, and fellowship at the home of Sam and Gini Lamback. Sam, a retired United Methodist pastor, brings wisdom, warmth, and occasionally a tune on his banjo to the group! Rooted in friendship and faith, this group shares life together by supporting one another through prayer and conversation, and sometimes enjoying lunch afterward at Macon favorites like Jeneane’s.
This group of men gathers weekly in Mulberry’s Zoom Room for thoughtful discussion and mutual encouragement. Led by Rev. Creede Hinshaw, a retired United Methodist minister, the group explores a variety of topics through book studies and open dialogue. Recent conversations have included “how to practice kindness” and “The Gospel According to Johnny Cash.”

Mulberry's Supper Club is a fun way to build community and form spiritual friendships in the comfort of home. Just as Jesus shared many meals with friends and strangers alike, this is a great chance to try something new, enjoy a delicious meal, and get to know others from Mulberry! This fellowship opportunity is open to all adults, and hosting is not required to be part of Supper Club. Those who sign up will be assigned to a small group that will meet once per month for 4 months to share a meal together in homes of people in our church community. To ensure a cozy gathering, each group will have no more than 8-10 adults.
Every second Sunday of the month, we meet after worship in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck lunch! The church provides the main course and drinks. Bring your favorite side dish, dessert, or just yourself! Sometimes we will use this time to celebrate or highlight one of our ministries or a special occasion, like Graduation Sunday, the Community Garden, or Wesley of Macon!
Hosted by our Family Ministries team. It's a fun Day for all ages - we grill hot dogs & hamburgers, play games for kids & adults alike, and have a great time of fellowship together!
Past trips have been to Macon Bacon games, Mercer Baseball games, Macon Mayhem hockey games and more! Be on the lookout in our newsletter for upcoming events!
