Wednesday's performer is Ted Babbitt.
Ted Babbitt is a concert organist who has performed organ recitals throughout the eastern United States.
Ted is a music education major at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he also studies organ
performance with Dr. Jack Mitchener. Ted is a recipient of the Jo Phelps Fabian Distinguished Music
Scholarship at Mercer. Ted is currently the Music Director/Organist at All Saints Episcopal Church in
Warner Robins, GA. Previously, Ted served as assistant organist at Christ Episcopal Church in Macon,
GA and Organ Scholar at St. John’s Episcopal Church in West Hartford, CT. He, currently studying organ
with Dr. Jack Mitchener, began studying under Scott Lamlein. He has participated in organ masterclasses
taught by Nathan Laube, Christopher Houlihan, Jonathan Moyer, Ray Nagem, Felix Hell, Stephen
Tharpe, and Jeffery Brillart. Ted has placed highly in several competitions, placing first in the 2022 L.
Cameron Johnson Organ Competition, and second in the Columbia, South Carolina AGO 2022 Young
Organists Competition and third in the 2024 National Undergraduate Organ Competition in Ottumwa,
Iowa.
